Arthur Berta

Arthur Berta, 93, passed away peacefully from old age on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain. He was born on February 8, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio, graduated from Brownhelm High School and was a Vermilion resident since the early 1930's. Arthur was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII and worked as a Layout Inspector at the Sandusky Ford Plant for over 30 years. Arthur and his cherished wife of 55 years, Bertha, founded and operated Riverview RV Park and Marina at 1270 Vermilion Road, Vermilion. Arthur was preceded in death by his adored and devoted wife, Bertha in 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Linda A. Taylor of Modesto, CA; granddaughter, Linda B. Taylor; grandson, David W. Taylor and beloved cat, Dolly. He will be missed dearly and remembered for his devotion to family, cleverness, humor, love of chocolate and many long drives. Services will be private.
