August Steven Graziano

August Steven Graziano, of Vermilion, aged 86, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Mercy Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Born on August 7, 1937, in Shaker Heights, OH, he had been a resident of Vermilion for 79 years.

August proudly graduated from Vermilion High School in 1955 and served as a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam era. He was a dedicated entrepreneur, owning and operating the Graziano Insurance Agency in Lorain and Vermilion. With a remarkable career spanning five decades, he received his 50-year certificate with Western Reserve Group and remained an active licensed insurance agent.

A devoted member of the community, August was affiliated with Amvets Post #22 and held a 50-year membership with the Masonic Ely Lodge #424. He cherished the beauty of Lake Erie, finding solace in watching the sunset from the beach. His passions extended to boating, fishing, and gardening.

Survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Anna M (nee Krause) Graziano of Vermilion, his daughter Andrea (John) Graziano-Lorince, his sons Steven (Christine) Graziano of Vermilion ,Tony (Colleen) Rosa of Brownhelm, and Auggie Graziano of Huron, along with grandchildren Adrena, Angelina, Lorenzo, Christopher, Anthony Jr, and Brittney, as well as step-grandchildren Stephen, Dustin, Amanda, Casey, Amanda, and Michael.

August was preceded in death by his parents, August and Providence (nee Puleo) Graziano, and his sister, Anna E. McArthur.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio, with a Masonic service at 4:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11:00 am, officiated by Pastor Jim Cooper. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where military honors will be presented.
