Aurora M. Noltner (nee Molano), 85, of Vermilion, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, at Kingston of Vermilion following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 17, 1941, in Lingayen, Philippines, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 59 years, moving from Berea.
Aurora graduated at the top of her class from the University of the Philippines. She worked as a medical technician at Mercy Hospital in Lorain for 40 years, retiring in 2013.
Aurora was a faithful member of St. Mary Parish in Vermilion. She was also a member of the Firelands Garden Club, the National Medical Technicians Association, and the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, where she held numerous offices and served as a National Snappiest.
An avid gardener, Aurora also enjoyed playing the piano, traveling and sewing. She was a voracious reader and especially cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 59½ years, William Noltner of Vermilion; son, William (Lori) Noltner III of Sylvania, Ohio; daughter, Terri Szymczak of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Emilee, Zachary, Sarah, and Damon; and great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Cora, Theodore, Mason, Isaac, and Evelyn Aurora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mamerto C. and Arcadia (nee Castor) Molano, and 12 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio; a rosary service will begin at 4 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
