Barbara Bedillion

Barbara Bedillion (nee Woodward), 88, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a courageous battle with illness.

Born on January 8, 1936, in Uniontown, PA, Barbara resided in Vermilion, OH for 46 years, having previously lived in New York and Pennsylvania.

Full of life, spunk and a good sense of humor, Barbara dedicated herself primarily to her role as a loving homemaker. She was an active member of the Vermilion United Church of Christ Congregational and the Vermilion Boat Club. Her passions included golfing, traveling, gardening, playing Bridge and shopping. Above all, she cherished her role as a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Douglas (Beth) Bedillion of Vermilion and David (Heather) Bedillion of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Britney, Caela, Kelsey; and great-grandchildren, Ella, Liam, and Arabella. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald E. Bedillion, in 2023, her parents Kenneth and Beulah Woodward, and siblings Donald Woodward, Kenneth Woodward, and Audrey Woodward. Her impact in this life will forever be felt and she will be greatly missed.

A private inurnment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery in Uniontown, PA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association at 23215 Commerce Park Rd., STE 300, Beachwood, OH 44122.
