Barbara Rose Winterstein (nee Naegele), 69 of Vermilion, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 in Community Health Partners West, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.. She was born March 9, 1934 in Vermilion, OH and has been a Vermilion resident her whole life.. Mrs. Winterstein graduated from Vermilion High School in 1952 and attended Steven's College and the University of Cincinnati. She was a licensed realtor and worked for Winterstein Realty, Vermilion, which is owned by her husband. She had also worked for Anderson Insurance. She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational, Vermilion. Mrs. Winterstein's hobbies included reading, traveling, and playing cards in several clubs including the group that played at the Vermilion Family YMCA. She especially enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her family.. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Crist Winterstein of Vermilion; 3 sons, Jeffery Winterstein of Vermilion, Scott Winterstein of Vermilion, and, Mark Winterstein of Sandusky, OH; and 2 Grandsons, Cristian and Brandon. Preceding her in death were her parents, Lawrence "Sonny" and Edna (nee Byham) Naegele, and 3 brothers, Morey "Bud" Jeffery, Keith "Doc" Jeffery, and Sydney "Ding" Jeffery. Friends may call Tuesday, April 15, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at 10:30 am. The Reverend Louis Bertoni will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Contributions may be made to the Ritter Public Library, 5680 Liberty Avenue, Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
