Bartholomew Smith

Bartholomew "Bart" Smith, 56, of Roberts, MT, died Monday, December 4, 2023 at Billings Clinic Hospital  after brief illness.

He was born August 7, 1967 in Amherst, OH, he was a Vermilion high school graduate and moved to Montana after graduating from the University of Idaho with his bachelors degree.

Bart worked fighting wildfires in Montana for the U.S. Forestry Department.

Bart was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and anything in the wilderness.

He is survived by his siblings, Sharon Nejedly of Sandusky, Jennifer (Brent) Funk of Sandusky, Kevin (Carol) Smith of MA,  Randy (Minnie) Smith of TN, and Tim (Jody) Smith of Vermilion; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Patricia (nee Malcomson) Smith, siblings, Gregory, Terry, and Kathleen Smith; and his  brother in law, Thomas Nejedly.

Private services will be held.
