Beatrice V. Houdeshell

Beatrice V. Houdeshell (nee Burton), 99, of Lorain, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at her home after a lengthy illness. Beatrice was born November 9, 1914 in Munson, PA, and had been a Lorain resident for the past 37 years moving from Philipsburg, PA. She enjoyed working on puzzles and baking bread and cookies. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Houdeshell of Amherst, James Houdeshell of Salix, PA, and Richard Houdeshell of Lorain; daughters, Janet (George Sr.) Deweese of WV, Beatrice Vivian Cyrus of Lorain, and Martha Pollard of Turtle Creek, PA; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Hannah (nee Lewis) Burton; son George in 2006, daughter, Carol Ann in 1949; 6 brothers, and 3 sisters. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH.
