Beatrice E. Ours

Beatrice E. Ours (nee Badgley), 99, of Grandview MO, died Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Life Care Center of Grandview after a brief illness.

She was born August 18, 1923 in Columbus, OH and had been a Grandview resident for the past 7 years moving from Texas.  Prior to moving to Texas she had lived in Norwalk, OH and Vermilion, OH for 54 years.

Beatrice was a member of Harbourtown Community Church, Vermilion where she was a Sunday school teacher for 35 years.   She enjoyed embroidery, crossword puzzles, riding bicycles and reading.

She is survived by her son, John G. Ours of Killbuch, OH; daughter, Florence Davis of Grandview, MO; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Ours, Sr. in 1977; parents, Farrell and Eura (nee Wynne) Badgley; sons, Robert P. Ours and Ronald Ours; daughter, Betty Jordan; sister, Bertha Emmerich; and brothers, Donald Badgley, and Beryl Badgely.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.  Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
