Beryl Lynn Akers

Beryl Lynn Akers (nee Boyd), 57, of Dana, KY, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at her mother's home after a sudden illness. She was born April 16, 1958 in Prestonsburg, KY, and had been a Dana, KY resident for the past 7 years moving from Vermilion. Beryl had worked various jobs including planting flowers for Green Circle Growers and had also worked at Harrison Mfg. She enjoyed decorating, planting flowers, and bargain hunting at garage sales and flea markets. She was also a wonderful caregiver to her family. She is survived by her parents, Elliot "Bob" and Bernice (nee Akers) Boyd of Huron; daughter, Jessica Kelm of Vermilion; brothers, Bob and James Boyd both of Dana, KY; sister, Henrietta Boyd of Huron; nephew, Joshua (Stephanie) Boyd of Vermilion; great-nephews, Cole, Warren, and James Boyd of Vermilion; long time companion Dave Kelm. She was preceded in death by her son, David Ryan Kelm in 2009; infant sister, Nellann Boyd; paternal grandparents, Henry and Nicie Boyd; and maternal grandparents, Willard and Minnie Akers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 am at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH.
