Bette L. Skinner-Rager

July 12, 1927 — December 10, 2006

Bette L. Skinner-Rager, 79 of Vermilion, died Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the Avon Oaks Caring Community following a lengthy illness. She was born July 12, 1927 in Cowen, West Virginia and has been a Vermilion resident for over 50 years. She was a devoted homemaker and had worked as a marker for Dalton Industries in Lorain later in life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vermilion. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Dick) Taylor of Lorain, Janey Hunter-Ross of Virginia, Ann Drennen of Las Vegas, NV, Vicki Skinner of Vermilion, Barb Skinner of Lorain, Nancy Skinner of Las Cruces, NM and Kay Skinner of Columbus; son, Brad (Jody) Skinner of Lorain; 13 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. She was preceded-in-death by her 1st husband, Noah A. Skinner, Jr., 2nd husband, William Rager, son, Thomas Michael Skinner, parents, Charles and Virginia (nee Hamrick) Flesher, sister, Geraldine Holmes and a brother, Clarence Flesher. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at 10:00 am at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason Road, Vermilion. The Reverend Don Resecker, pastor of First Baptist Church in Vermilion, will officiate. Contributions may be made to the J.O.Y Class, c/o First Baptist Church, West River Road, Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
