Betty J. Dickel

Betty J. Dickel (nee Grisel), 92, of Vermilion, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at New Life Hospice, Lorain, after a short illness. Betty was born February 14, 1922 in Lorain. She had been a lifelong Vermilion resident . Betty cared for her family and worked on the family farm. She attended Vermilion E & R Church, enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends and loved the outdoors. She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Joy) Dickel of Vermilion, and Herbert (Martha) Dickel of Vermilion; daughter, Brenda (Ernie) Zsebik of Vermilion; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Dickel, parents, Conrad and Martha (nee Sennhenn) Grisel, brothers, John, Adam, William, Albert, Ted, Nick, and Conrad Grisel, sisters, Emma Marks, Mithilda Kidd, Mabel Dickerhoff, and Amelia Schafer. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home The Reverend Bill Seith will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
