Billy L. Rice

Billy L. Rice, 85, of Vermilion, died Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Elms Retirement Village after a lengthy illness. He was born May 12, 1936 in Bolivar, WV and had been a Vermilion resident since 1959. Billy was a veteran of the US Navy and worked for Ford Motor Company, Lorain as a metal finisher for 30 years, retiring in 1991. He had been a member of Amvets Post #22 in Vermilion and the UAW Post #425. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his son, Billy L Rice, Jr. of FL; daughter, Rebecca J Keenan of Lorain; grandchildren: Christopher, Tommy and Sarah; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Bob Rice and Delmas "Joe" Rice both of Webster Springs, WV; and his sisters, Glenda Rice-Baker of Charlton, WV, Carol Rice-Jordon of Webster Springs, WV, Dixie Rice-Stowtz of Oak Island, NC, and Millie Rice-Case of VA. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Rice in 2007; parents, Edward and Eva Mae (nee Rice) Rice; and his sister, Maxine Wallen. Private services will be held.
