Brenda S. Funk

Brenda "Gracie" Funk (nee Davis), 75, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Mercy New Life Hospice after a lengthy illness.

Born on September 19, 1948, in Waynesburg, PA, Brenda became a beloved member of the Vermilion community where she lived for the past 55 years.

Throughout her life, Gracie dedicated herself to her work at French Tex Dry Cleaners in Vermilion and Elite Cleaners in Amherst. Beyond her career, she was known for her love of cooking, baking cakes, crafting, crocheting, cross stitch, knitting, quilting, and reading, all of which brought her joy.

Brenda is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Gary Funk, of Vermilion; her sister, Joyce Morris of Waynesburg, PA, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Lorraine (nee Jefferies) Davis and her sisters, Sharon Roberts and Debra Davis; and a brother, Benny Davis.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
