Bruce H. Walker, 74, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born March 8, 1946 in Cleveland and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 20 years. Bruce worked for the Illuminating Company and First Energy as a Floor Operator/Switcher for over 30 years retiring in 2010. He was a social member of the American Legion Post #397, Amvets Post #22, and the Holland-Bond Post #7576. He enjoyed deer hunting, turkey hunting and he was an avid fisherman and charter captain.  He also enjoyed making, packaging, and selling his own custom ‶Brucie Baby″ fishing lures. He is survived by his sons, Ken (Kim Houston) Walker of Parma and Aaron (Rosemary) Walker of Vermilion; grandchildren, Alexis and Iris; sister, Margaret Mott of MD, and his sister in law, Carol Walker of Olmsted Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Eleanor (nee Luke) Walker and his brother, James Walker. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
