Calvin E. Burnworth, 73, of Wakeman, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at MetroHealth Medical Center as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born August 1, 1950 in Confluence , PA and had been a Lorain and Erie County resident for the past 60 years.
Calvin worked for Ford Motor Co. in the Maintenance Department for 20 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the UAW #425 and was a car enthusiast. He especially enjoyed buying and selling automobiles.
He is survived by his son, Brandon E Burnworth of Vermilion, daughter, Christie Lee Burnworth of Lorain, former wife, Judy Burnworth of Vermilion, grandchildren, Savannah, Casey and Chuck Jr., sisters, Patricia (Ed) Daniels of Coshocton, Ethel (Jim) Morrison of New Concord, OH, Viola "Dukie" (Davis) Whipkey of Ohiopyle, PA, Jane (Larry) Christian of Berlin Heights, and Bonnie (William) Dodson of Vermilion, brothers, Rick (Brenda) Burnworth of Berlin Heights and Ronald (Tammy) Burnworth of Lorain, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Little Gene, parents, Calvin Sr. and Hazel (nee Burnsworth) Burnworth, infant sister , Rosetta, brother, Wilbur, and his sisters, Cindy Festog and Tammy Wagner
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion immediately following the visitation at the funeral home.
