Carl Nazelrod, 57, of Vermilion, died suddenly Sunday, April 18, 2004 in Community Health Partners West . He was born June 20, 1946 in Romney, W.V. He served in the United States Army Reserve from 1965-1971. He worked as a sub assembler for Ford Assembly Plant, Lorain. He had attended West Virginia University. He was a member of the Vermilion Church of Christ, the National Church of Police, and the Buckeye Sheriff's Association. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Dorothy (nee Evans) Nazelrod; son, Samuel Nazelrod of Lorain; daughters, Emily Cole, Elyria, and Daphne Johnson, Lorain; step-son, Ryan Blanden, Vermilion; 8 grandchildren; brother, Jonah Nazelrod, Sr., Romney, WV; Goldie Self, Salt Lake City, Utah, Mary Lambert, Romney, WV, Lena Martin, Verona, Virginia, Ruth Shanholtz, Romney, WV. Preceding him in death were his parents, Samuel and Grace Alice (nee Kenser) Nazelrod; brother, Harry Nazelrod and Rudolph Nazelrod and a sister, Bertha Whalen. A Memorial services will be held at the Church of Christ. 5116 Driftwood Drive, Vermilion, Ohio, Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at 7 p.m. Linro Meade and Mark Weaver will co-officiate. Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion entrusted with the arrangements.
