Carlton Howard Lapp

Carlton Howard Lapp "Pharmacist" Carlton Howard Lapp, 59, of Vermilion , died Thursday, July 5, 2007 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain. He was born July 23, 1947 in Batavia, New York and has lived in Vermilion since 1959. He was a local Vermilion pharmacist for 36 years. He was co-owner and operator of Vintage Pharmacy in Vermilion since 2006. He had been co-owner of the Medicine Shoppe, Vermilion, for 20 years, and since 1970 had worked at Marshall Drug, Cunningham Drug, Gray Drug then Krogers as a pharmacist. He was a 1965 graduate of Vermilion High School and a 1970 graduate of Ohio Northern University. He was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity, the Lorain County Pharmacists Association, the Ohio Pharmacists Association, the National Community Pharmacists Association, the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists, The Audi Club of North America and The Chapel in Sandusky. He enjoyed sailing, bicycling, and driving and instructing at Audi Club driving schools and safety seminars. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Carol Jean (nee Beiner) Lapp of Vermilion; son and daughter in law, Jeffrey David and Amy Lapp of Toledo; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Renee and Jeffrey Lee of Avon; brothers, Gregory Lapp of Avon, Mark Lapp of Shelbyville, KY, Douglas Lapp of Wakeman, and Michael Lapp of Wakeman; and several nieces & nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Howard and Mildred (nee Snyder) Lapp. Friends may call Sunday, July 8, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Friends may also call from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday at The Chapel, 444 Galloway Road, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Pastors Brad L.
