Carol A. Barthel

Carol A. Barthel, 60, of Vermilion, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Born July 2, 1950 in Lorain, OH she had been a lifelong Vermilion resident. She graduated from Vermilion High School in 1969. She was a member of Harbourtown Community Church. She enjoyed volunteer work, especially at Harbourtown Community Church where she cleaned once a week. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Dionne Pilarsh of Vermilion; son, Dustin Pilarsh of Vermilion; grandchildren: Jessica Wellman, Destiny Pilarsh, Aaron Dunn, Jasmine Pilarsh, and Hunter Pilarsh; brothers, Tom and Billy Barthel of Vermilion; and sisters, Mary Henson of Charlotte, NC and Christine Martin of Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Sr. and Catherine (nee Cvetovac) Barthel; sister, Janice Chism, and granddaughter, Jamie Wellman. Friends may call at Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010 from 5:00 pm until the time of a Memorial Service at 5:30 pm at the Harbourtown Community Church, 873 State Street, Vermilion, OH.
