Carol Hoff (née Radde), 80, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Amherst Manor Retirement Community following a lengthy illness.
Born on February 5, 1946, in Lorain, Ohio, Carol was a lifelong resident of Vermilion and cherished her community throughout her life.
Carol dedicated 32 years of service as a teller with Lorain National Bank before retiring in 2005. She was a proud 1964 graduate of Vermilion High School. Carol was a former member of the United Church of Christ Congregational and the Vermilion Family YMCA. In her free time, she enjoyed making crafts and found great pleasure in creating handmade projects for family and friends. She also never passed up an ice-cold Pepsi.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Tony Hoff of Vermilion, Susan Southwell of Livonia, Michigan, Brenda Burke of Norwalk, and Pam Sapp of Norwalk; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and other extended family members who will cherish her memory.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 32 years, Ross Wayne Hoff, in 2025; her parents, Harold and Evelyn Irene (née McMaster) Radde; her stepdaughter, Annette Holland; stepson, Ross Hoff Jr. and her stepson-in-law, Robert Southwell.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 2:00 until the time of service at 4:00 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Private inurnment will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst.
