Carolyn V. Cottrell

Carolyn V. Cottrell (nee Fisher), 69, of Vermilion, went home Friday, May 6, 2011 after a long illness. Born October 23, 1941 in Cedarville, WV, she had been a Vermilion resident for the past 51 years moving from Huron. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Harold Cottrell; daughters, Diane (Robert) Prather of Norwalk and Debbie (Jeffrey) Shelley of Willard; son, Jeffrey Cottrell of Lakewood; granddaughters, Rebecca Gordon, Chandra Grudt, and Kendra Shelley; great-grandchildren, Hudson Grudt and Wyatt Gordon; sisters, Elizabeth Melbaum of Parkersburg, WV and Linda Sumpter of Weston, WV; and brother, Jack Fisher of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Gary (nee Moore) Fisher; brother, Mike Fisher; and sister, Patty. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 12 Noon until the time of a short service at 1:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH.
