Catherine Billey

Catherine Billey (nee Cochran), 71, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully Monday, September 4, 2023 at her home.

She was born July 30, 1952 in Cleveland, OH and had been a Rocky River  resident for most of her life, spending the past three years in Vermilion.

Catherine  worked in customer service & billing for over 30  years.

She enjoyed cooking, singing, playing the guitar, and going to the movies. She had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and had rescued six dogs over her lifetime. She was passionate about flowers and gardening, and spent her time tending to many flowers and vegetables. She was a loving spouse, mother, and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Michael Billey of Vermilion; daughter, Ashley Billey; sister, Jacalyn (Dave) Martin; brother, Jim Cochran; and aunt, Patricia Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her father, William  and  Mary "Marie"  (nee McLain) Cochran.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023, 10:00 am until the time of service at 12 Noon at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Deacon  John Murray Jr.  will officiate.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Cleveland APL, 1729 Willey Ave., Cleveland, OH 44113..
