Catherine Draucker

Catherine R. Draucker (nee Schmidt), 97, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 in Community Health Partners, Lorain after a short illness. She was born October 27, 1908 in Cleveland, and had lived in Vermilion the last 13 years moving from Vermont. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion. She enjoyed cooking, watching cooking programs on television, yard work and traveling. Survivors include her daughter, Karleen Hoefle of Vermilion; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Mary (nee Goldback) Schmidt; her husband, Charles Creamer Draucker, 1978; son, Charles C. Draucker, 1998, and her brother, George Smith. Friends may call Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. until the time a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Father Jim Holmer, pastor, will officiate.
