Catherine Kelm

Catherine L. Kelm (nee Redinger), 76, of Vermilion died Friday, December 5, 2003 at Community Health Partners, Lorain after a 2 year illness. Born July 3, 1927 in Lorain, she was a life long Vermilion resident. She worked at Lithonia Lighting in Vermilion for 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, and the Electrical Workers Union. She enjoyed flowers, sewing, crafts and travel and had a booth at Jamie's Flee Market. She is survived by a daughter, Laureen Ramsier of Amherst; a son, Larry Kelm, Vermilion;; 6 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; a sister, Patsy Troxel of Marblehead and a brother, Gene Redinger, Vermilion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Kelm in 1985, a daughter Lynn Sigler; sister, Betty Jeavons and a brother, John Redinger. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. A Christian Wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Prayers will said in the funeral home at 12 noon on Tuesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion.. Father Jim Holmer, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion.
