Charlyn S Friel

Charlyn S. Friel (nee Sander), 70, of Vermilion, died Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Regency Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born June 24, 1949 in Amherst and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 50 years moving from Amherst. Charlyn worked for Community Health Partners, Lorain for 27 years as a patient financial counselor. She enjoyed gardening and showing German Shepherds.  She also enjoyed spending time with her husband and helping him breed German Shepherds. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John "Jack" Richard Friel; grandchildren: Charlyn, Emily, and John III. She was preceded in death by her son, John Friel in 2011; parents, Charles and Selina (nee Williams) Sander and her sister, Nadine Doughtey.
