Christopher Dodd Neal, 43, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 20, 2025.
He was born on February 22, 1982, in Westlake, Ohio, and lived in Vermilion for most of his life.
Chris was a true jack of all trades, loved working with his hands and finding inventive solutions to just about anything.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. Always full of energy and laughter, he was known for his practical jokes, quick wit, and big heart. Above all, he treasured spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Tanya Kudela Neal; his beloved children, Dominick Birge and Remington Neal; cherished grandchildren, Jackson and Destiny; his mother and stepfather, Sandy and David Sweet; father, Leonard Neal; sister, Kelly Neal; brother, Ian Sweet; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Anne “Yaya” Stevens, and his uncle, Ray Buczek.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate.
