Claude E Baldwin

Claude E. Baldwin, 90, living with his daughter and son-in-law (Joyce and Wallace Greene) for the last 8 years in Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014. Claude was born May 14, 1924 in Logan, WV. He worked in the coal mines for Boone County Coal Company for 17 years. He came to Vermilion in 1962 and went to work for Ford Motor Co., Lorain, retiring in 1986. He had been a member of the First Assembly of God, Vermilion and he was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Sandusky. He is survived by his daughters, JoAn (Rick) Burdi of Palm Coast, FL and Joyce (Wallace) Greene of Sandusky; son, Harold "Dean" (Rose) Baldwin of Vermilion; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Naomi Thompson of Sharpless, WV. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Audrey Mae (nee Taylor) Baldwin in 1990; parents, William Henderson and Eunice Pearl (nee Nelson) Baldwin; sister, Mary Baldwin; an infant brother; and brothers, Bobby, Fielden, Hassel, Charlie, Clyde, John, and Paul Baldwin. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Pastor Mark Quillen will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
