Claude Darrell Price

Claude Darrell Price, 81, formerly of Wakeman, Collins, Vermilion, OH and Detroit, MI passed away quietly in his home surrounded by his loved ones Tuesday morning, November 13, 2018. Claude was born March 7, 1937 in Thealka, KY. He graduated from Scott High School in Madison, WV in 1955. He retired from the Lorain Ford Plant after 32 years. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, football, and woodworking. He was a member of Vermilion Church of Christ where he was a long standing Elder. He was a God fearing man who loved God and diligently studied his bible He used his knowledge of Christ to help many people who lost their way and brought many to see his grace and glory. He loved his family and enjoyed many family gatherings and trips all over the country. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Kay) Price, Crystal (Roger) Tapp, James (Marianne) Price, John (Robin) Price, Claudia Price, Janna (John) Young, and Robert Price; grandchildren, Nicole, Joseph, Joshua, Jared, Marissa, and Elizabeth Price, Kristy Drachenberg, Matthew, Gabriel, Abigail, Wyatt, and Greta Price, Caleigh Holcomb, Lauren and Ethan Young; 20 great-grandchildren; brother Eddie Price; many nieces and nephews, and step children, Wanda (Bryon) Dalton, Norm (Jeanette) Welch, Ross (Tina) Welch, and Julie Welch. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 41 years, Diana Lou (nee Brown) Price; second wife of 16 years, Audrey "Kaye" (nee McKinney) Price, parents, Clark and Alma (nee Ward) Price, brothers, Frank, Henry, and William Price; and sisters, Edith Faye Craddock and Jnan Bostice. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Friday, November 16, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Vermilion Church of Christ, 5116 Driftwood Drive, Vermilion, Ohio. Mr. Linro Meade will officiate.
