Colleen Marie Eichelberger

Colleen Marie Eichelberger, 37, of Vermilion, died Monday, November 11, 2013 at her home after a sudden illness. Colleen was born December 2, 1975 in Sandusky, and had been a life long Vermilion resident. She graduated from Vermilion High School in 1995. Colleen was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was also a life member of AMVETS Post # 22 and a member of the Vermilion Family YMCA. She enjoyed reading, computer games, and most of all she enjoyed being a mom and attending Kayleigh's activities. She is survived by her daughter, Kayleigh Marie at home; father and step-mother; Kevin and Marcia Eichelberger; sister, Mary (Heath) Sindeldecker of Oak Harbor; brother, Matthew Eichelberger of Vermilion; paternal grandfather, William Eichelberger of Vermilion; maternal grandfather, Jim Adams; grandmother, Sonja Kneisel; maternal grandparents, Bob and Alice Kneisel; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her by her mother, Deborah (nee Adams) Eichelberger; a sister, Sharon Eichelberger and grandmothers, Margaret Adams and Sharon Eichelberger. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of prayers at 12 noon at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 12:30 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. The Reverend Ronald Brickner will officiate. Interment in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst at a later date.
