Connie M. Yancar (nee Williams), 68, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born August 26, 1946 in Youngstown and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 35 years moving from Youngstown. Connie had worked at Big Lots, Vermilion and as a greeter at the Super Kmart, Amherst. She especially enjoyed her years as a day care provider for her beautiful granddaughter Hayley. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion and enjoyed cooking, and crafts, especially working with stained glass. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William Yancar of Vermilion; son, David M. Yancar of Lorain; granddaughter, Hayley Yancar of Vermilion; and brother, Paul D. Williams of Canfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Josephine (nee Terrago) Williams. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11 am until the time of the memorial service at 12 noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Fr. Ron Brickner will officiate.
