Corabel Simpson-Heck

Corabel Simpson-Heck (nee Buck), age 90, died on Friday, March 16, 2007 at her son?s home in Wakeman,, Ohio with whom she made her home for the past 5 years, following a sudden illness. She was born on June 5, 1916 in Mooreland, Oklahoma where she grew up and graduated from Mooreland High School in 1931. She later lived in Conway, Texas where she was the town Post Master for 20 years, retiring in 1973. She then spent the remainder of her life living in Hobart, Oklahoma. She was firm in her faith and regularly attended church services at the Conway Community Church in Texas, the First Baptist Church in Hobart, Oklahoma and Firelands Church in Wakeman, Ohio. She is survived by her son, Dr. Leon (Marilyn) Simpson of Wakeman; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded-in-death by her first husband, Ralph Simpson, second husband, Ed Heck, daughter, Joyce Stearns, son, William D. Simpson, granddaughter, Sandy Stearns, parents, Luther and Addie (nee Petit) Buck and sister, Edna Mae Wheeler. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18, 2007 from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be conducted by her grandson, Reverend Tim Simpson. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Hobart Rose Cemetery by Ray & Martha�s Funeral Home, 306 W. 11th Street, Hobart, Oklahoma.
