Cynthia A Keener

Cynthia A. Keener (nee Evans ), 91, of Vermilion, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2106, at Ames Family Hospice House after a brief illness. Cynthia was born January 18, 1925 in Boggs, WV. She had been a Vermilion resident for the past 64 years moving from Akron. . Cynthia worked at South Shore Packing for 6 years. She was a member of Amvets Post # 22 in Vermilion. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, playing BINGO, and her rose garden. She is survived by her daughters: Mavis Klesta of Brunswick, Mary (Leo) Tranckita of Florida, JoAnn (Fred) Gonzales of Lorain, and Brenda (Thomas) Gorman of Lorain; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard A. Keener; parents, Jack and Grace (nee McCoy) Evans; brother, Ralph Evans; and sisters Oleta Jackson and Jean Cultip. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion OH. Graveside Services will follow the visitation at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. The family suggests memorial contributions to the donor's choice.
