Cynthia 'Cindy' Lawson

Cynthia "Cindy" Lawson (nee Mingl), 63, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home. She was born July 22, 1953 in Los Angeles , CA and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 11 years moving from Camarillo, CA. Cindy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion where she worked. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching the wildlife, spending time with her cats, watching scary movies, and visiting with her sister. She is survived by her husband, John Lawson of Vermilion; sons, Jesse (Sami) Lawson and Scott Benton both of CA; granddaughter, Kayla Janet Tausig; and sisters, Sharon Grub of CA; Doreen Tyree of Mansfield, Paula Burnett of CO, and Nancy Davis of CA. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Samantha Hannah Ruth Lawson in 2013, parents, Fred and Hannah Jane (nee Mays) Barnes; and brother, Paul Mingl. The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 10, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Prayers will be said at the Riddle Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016 at 10:00 am followed by a 10:30 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St., Vermilion. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
