Dale A Sellers

Dale A. Sellers, 78, of Vermilion, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at UH St. John Medical Center in Westlake, following a lengthy illness.

He was born April 24, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 27 years after moving from Parma Heights.

Dale proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Throughout his working life, he was employed by several companies, including Modern Tool and Die and TRW. He later dedicated 19 years of service as a corrections officer at the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center, retiring in 2003.

A man of many interests, Dale was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermilion and the Vermilion Lions Club. He had a lifelong love of music and spent his younger years as a DJ. He also enjoyed collecting antiques-especially vinyl records-tinkering around the house, and, most of all, spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Dale is survived by his wife of 19 years, Adrianna Delores Sellers (nee Conklin); his sons, Michael Sellers of California and Brian (Tracy) Sellers of Grafton; grandchildren, Allie and Emma Sellers and Amanda Hall, his stepson, Sidney Clark; his stepdaughter, Treena Edens; his brother, Glen (Eileen) Sellers of Florida; his sister, Rita (Jay) Nye of Maumee, Ohio; as well as many godchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence J. and Virginia H. Sellers (nee Martin); his brother, John Sellers; and his sister, Barbara Zeuch.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Military honors will be presented at the funeral home at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3747 Liberty Avenue, Vermilion, Ohio 44089, with Reverend Henry Zorn officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 3747 Liberty Avenue, Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
