David S. Kedzierski, 81, of Vermilion, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Mercy New Life Hospice after a brief illness.
Born on October 31, 1943, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Dave spent the past 60 years as a resident of Vermilion, having moved from Lorain. Despite his long tenure in Ohio, Dave always held Pennsylvania close to his heart and considered it his true home.
A graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, Dave pursued a successful 40-year career as a salesman in the steel industry, retiring in 2014.
Dave was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermilion and found great strength and pride in his involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous. Outside of his commitments, he found joy in gardening, taking immense pride in his vibrant flowers. He was also a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved cheering for his team.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Sandra (nee Waddell) Kedzierski of Vermilion; his sons, Michael (Melody) Kedzierski of South Carolina and Steven (Laura) Kedzierski of Dayton; his grandchildren, Meghan, Violet, and James; and his great-granddaughter, Avery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley A. and Gertrude (nee Williams) Kedzierski.
The family will receive friends on December 7, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m., at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Reverend Jimmy Madsen will officiate.
