David Charles Arnold, 73, of Vermilion, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born January 18, 1943 in Dayton, OH, and had been a Vermilion resident since 1992 moving from Rocky River. David worked as a 7-12th grade vocational teacher for Willoughby-Eastlake Schools for 33 years retiring in 1999, followed by several years in Gander Mountain's firearms dept. He could fix, repair or renew anything and was well known for his willingness to help others. His response was always "No problem." He enjoyed building everything from decks to clocks, boating, fishing, hunting, golf, spending time at his cabin in Pennsylvania and his dogs. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lois Arnold of Vermilion; daughters, Donna Arnold of Syracuse, IN and Beth (Dan) Harb of Newbury, OH; 4 grandchildren, and his 4 dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Russell & Hilda Jean (nee Herzel) Arnold. Private services will be held with inurnment at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
