David Edward Bailey

David E. Bailey, 64, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Community Health Partners West after a sudden illness. He was born June 9, 1944 in Bellfonte, PA. He has been a Vermilion resident for the past 30 years. He served in the United States Army National Guard. He retired as a restaurant manager for Denny's Restaurant in Elyria. He had also worked for Vermilion Burger Chef and Snap on Tools. He was a member of AMVETS Post #22. He enjoyed traveling, music, movies and electronics. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Laraine (nee Grace) Bailey; and a son, David Edward Bailey, Jr. of Elyria, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Cleo (nee Sullivan) Bailey. Friends may call Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Friday, June 27, 2008, at 11 am. Pastor Kristi Foster, associate pastor of the United Church of Christ Congregational will officiate.
