David G Brown Sr.

David G. Brown Sr., 68, of Vermilion, died Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born August 9, 1952 in Bluefield, VA and he had been an Ohio resident for the past 38 years moving from WV. David worked as an overhead crane operator for 18 years for Ferrous Metal Processing Co., Brooklyn, OH, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and shooting pool. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shelby (nee Jennings) Brown of Vermilion, sons, David (Loretta) Brown, Jr. of Lorain, Larry (Michelle) Brown, Sr. of Vermilion, and Roger (Shelley) Brown of Castalia; 18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Larry Brown of VA and Roger Brown of MD; sisters, Ellen Hill of DE and Brinda Matthews of DE; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Margaret (nee Yates) Brown and his sister, Gail Mills. The family will receive friends on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020 from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
