David Martin Fullmer

David Martin Fullmer, 81, of Vermilion, died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a brief illness. He was born July 8, 1935 in Elyria and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 6 years moving from Elyria. David worked in the maintenance department for Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority before becoming a material handler for the Elyria Chronicle Telegram where he worked for 10 years, retiring in 2006. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Elyria. David enjoyed woodworking, antique collecting, making wine, and wine tasting. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Annie (nee Lawrence) Fullmer of Vermilion; sons, Glenn Fullmer of Ashland and Michael Lee Fullmer of Sheffield Lake; daughters, Kathleen Fullerton of West Palm Beach, FL and Marjorie Akers of Fayetteville, NC; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Ann Emerson of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Martin and Nellie (nee Sandrock) Fullmer and his son, Robert Fullmer in 2004. A memorial services will be Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church, 200 East Ave, Elyria, OH. Pastor Rick Stein will officiate.
