David Martincak

David C. Martincak, 43 of Vermilion, died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the home of his daughter after a sudden illness. He was born September 4, 1962 in Lorain, Ohio and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 22 years, moving from Lorain. He worked as a machinist for Ohio Screw, Elyria for the past 10 years and had previously worked at Gehrke and Son Manufacturing in Lorain. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Vermilion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, racing especially NASCAR, watching sports on television and taking care of his lawn. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Darlene Martincak (nee Hoffman), parents, Edward and Catherine (nee Chervenak) Martincak of Lorain, daughter, Saraha Martincak of North Olmsted, 3 brothers: Ed Martincak of Sarasota, FL, Richard Martincak of Lorain, and Paul Martincak of Washington, DC; sister, Mary Pruchinski of Lorain, uncle Tony Chervenak of Vermilion and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday March 9 and Friday March 10, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Saturday March 11, 2006 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 am at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St. Vermilion.
