David Anthony Risner

David Anthony Risner, Jr. 17, of Vermilion, died Sunday, January 8, 2006 as a result of an automobile accident in Vermilion. He was born May 27, 1988 in Lorain and was a life long resident of Vermilion. He was a culinary arts student at Ehove Vocational School in Sandusky. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vermilion and enjoyed cooking, playing guitar, playing X-Box and was interested in fire fighting. Survivors include his mother and step father, Diana (nee Schmidt) and Joe Barboza, Vermilion; father and step mother, David Anthony, Sr. and Penny Risner of Millington, TN; a brother, Daniel Schmidt, serving in the US Army at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma; a sister, Anna Risner, at home; a step sister, Ashley Barboza, Elizabethtown, Kentucky; maternal grandparents, Carl & Janyce Schmidt, Vermilion; paternal grandmother, Sandra Roberts, Santa Rosa California; paternal stepgrandmother, Emily Barboza, Ogden, Utah; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death was his paternal grandfather, Daniel Risner. Friends may call 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 6716 West River Road, Vermilion, Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 11 a.m. Pastor Rodney Hollan will officiate.
