Deborah Lynn Haines

August 11, 1957 — December 23, 2023

Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Haines (nee Doyle), 66, of Vermilion, peacefully passed away on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023 at Mercy New Life Hospice, following a brief illness.

Born on August 11, 1957, in Memphis, TN, Debbie spent the last 65 years residing in Vermilion, having moved from Memphis during her childhood.

Debbie was a proud graduate of Vermilion High School's Class of 1975. Her professional journey led her to serve as an office manager/executive secretary at Shencon, Sandusky, for an impressive 38 years until her retirement in 2022.

In her leisure time, Debbie found joy in various activities, including fishing, bowling, indulging in music, crocheting, and playing the piano. Her greatest source of happiness, however, came from cherishing moments with her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. She adored hummingbirds, peacocks, and her faithful companion, Shelby.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Michael Jacob Haines of Vermilion, OH.   Debbie is also remembered fondly by her sons, Justin (Desiree) Carroll of Lititz, PA, and Austin M (Taylor Burger) Haines of Vermilion. She leaves behind her loving parents, Claude Earl and Carolyn (nee Gelston) Doyle of Vermilion, OH, as well as grandchildren Giulianna, Eloise, Lucas, Beau, and one more on the way. Debbie is dearly missed by her sisters, Cindy (Rick) Decker of Wakeman, OH, and Kathy (Ron) Baker of Vermilion, OH, her brother, Earl (Julie) Doyle Jr. of Menomonee Falls, WI, along with nieces and nephews, Jess, Jenn, Kristen, Aaron, Madeleine, Joe, Ian, Amanda, and Heidi, great-nieces, Emma and Haylee and a circle of cherished family and friends.

Private family services honoring Debbie's life will take place, followed by her inurnment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermilion.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests considering memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in Debbie's memory.
