Deborah Anne Lewandoski

Deborah Anne Lewandoski, 48 of Vermilion, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at home, following a valiant battle against cancer for the past several months. She was born April 4, 1960 in Cleveland and grew up in Avon Lake, graduating from Avon Lake High School in 1978. She had lived in Elyria for many years, moving to Vermilion 7 years ago. Debbie worked as a photo specialist and cashier for 20 years at Sam's Club in Elyria. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. She was passionate for her husband and children, was an avid photographer and enjoyed skiing. Debbie's strong will, faith and love for her family was a beacon of light throughout her illness. While she had hoped to live to see her first daughter get married in October, she will still be remembered and alive in spirit for her family forever more. She is survived by her beloved husband, James R. Lewandoski of Vermilion, cherished children, Jessica Lewandoski and Mellissa Lewandoski, both of Cuyahoga Falls, Krystyna Lewandoski, Jonathan Lewandoski and James M. Lewandoski, all at home in Vermilion, loving parents, Russell and Mary Anne Kauffman of Bay Village, dear brothers and sisters, Richard Kauffman of Elyria, Russell Kauffman of Avon, Sharon Welker of Ft. Myers, Florida, Janice Kucirka of N. Olmstead, Patricia Fixley of St. Charles, Missouri and Diana Fletcher of Alpharetta, Georgia. She was preceded-in-death by a daughter, Angeila Lewandoski in 1993. There will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain.
