Delight Cooper

Delight Cooper (Capretta), 89, of Lorain passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at her residence following a short illness. She was born October 14, 1921 in Lorain, and was a lifelong area resident. Delight was a very devout catholic and was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Elyria. She enjoyed her pets, and always kept up with current affairs in the news. She especially enjoyed spending time with her great and great-great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. She is survived by nieces Linda Capretta, and Jeanne (Kenneth) Provenza both of Lorain; nephews Robert (Dolores) Antonelli of N. Royalton, Patrick, and David Antonelli both of Richmond Heights, and Theodore (Kathy) Smith of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her father Anthony Cooper (Capretta) in 1953, a sister Leondina Antonelli in 1956, mother Thomasina (nee DeFranco) in 1966, a brother Thomas Cooper (Capretta) in 1966, and a sister Mary Smith in 2002. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 9th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church 41295 N. Ridge Rd., Elyria. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The family requests in lieu of flowers masses be said in Delight's memory. Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home and Cremation Service 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.dombrowskifuneralhome.com
