Deloris Adams

Deloris Adams (nee Newsome), 61, Vermilion, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at her home after a lengthy illness. Deloris was born September 14, 1954 in Dana, KY. She moved to Vermilion, OH during her childhood and eventually settled in Fremont, OH, where she lived for 20 years before returning to Vermilion. She was a gifted and talented artist, a loving mother, and a kind, charismatic person. She is survived by her mother, Betty Rose Newsome; daughters, Emily Mumford, Jessica (Jamie) Pelish, and Michelle Adams; son, Michael Adams; step-son, Orian (Tammy) Smith; grandchildren, Ashley (Trevor) Burns, Andrew Mumford, Austin Mumford, Paris Pelish, Tyler Pelish, Jude Pelish, Trinity Smith, and Harlan Smith; one great-grandchild, Ayden Burns; brother Gerald (Lena) Newsome; sister, Janet Newsome; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved Yorkies, Gabby and Crystal. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Smith; and her father, Edward Newsome. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, 2016 starting at 5 pm. at the Little Salem Regular Baptist Church, Dana, KY. Funeral services will be at the Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11:00 am.
