Dennis F. Bielak, 79, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born April 21, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 36 years moving from Fairview Park. Dennis founded Denco Inc., Vermilion in 1967 where he was the owner, operator and still president. He was a member of the Sandusky Yacht Club, Huron Eagles, Moose Lodge, Ft. Meyers, FL, and he was a past instructor of the Cleveland Power Squadron. Dennis had a passion for vintage and collectable cars. He enjoyed spending time in Florida, power boating, reading, and loved animals, especially his dogs. He started the Amber and Babe Animal Foundation, to help pay veterinarian bills for people who could not afford them. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Rev. Rob Patton of Vermilion; and grandchildren, Nate and Trinity. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. (nee Meder) Bielak; parents, Frank and Irene (nee Nowak) Bielak; and a sister, Joyce Baker. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Rob Patton will officiate. Interment will be on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at 10:00 am at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
