Dennis R. Koltas

Dennis R. Koltas (SUNRISE March 2, 1942- SUNSET June 15, 2015) age 73. Dennis was born March 2, 1942 in Lorain, OH and was a 1960 graduate of Lorain High School. He was a U.S. Veteran of the Army National Guard serving from 1963-1968. Dennis was a Captain of the Lorain Fire Department, retiring in 1990 after 25 years of service. He has been a Las Vegas, NV resident since his retirement. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Wanda (nee Hollar); daughters, Christine (John) Partridge of Amherst and Denise Ellis of Lorain; stepdaughter, Lisa (Andy) Hurayt of Brunswick, GA; brother, Richard (Linda) of Sheffield Lake; sisters, Gloria (Bob) Johnson of Amherst, Goldie (Jim) Saegert of Lorain, Linda Koltas of Columbus, and Wendy Starr of Collins; grandchildren, Joshua (Kristin), Jessica, and Jennifer Ellis all of Lorain, and Edgar "Alex" Ramos of Las Vegas; great grandsons, Ethan and Mathew Ellis; and many nieces and nephews (ALL favorites!). He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Theresa (nee Szabo) Koltas, and brothers, Gerald and Warren "Butch" Koltas. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 4-7p.m. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Dennis' niece, Rev. Kimberly Kesecker, and Pastor Jimmy of the First Lutheran Church of Lorain will officiate. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain where Lorain V.F.W. Post # 451 and American Legion Post # 30 Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.
