Dennis L. Minnich , 64, of Lorain, died unexpectedly Friday, March 1, 2013 at his residence. Dennis was born March 21, 1948 in Lorain, OH, and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of St. Mary's, High School, Lorain, and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. serving during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1972. He was a member of the Amvets Post #47,and the American Slovak Home. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, throwing darts, and caring for his cats. He was an avid Ohio State and Cavaliers fan. ã Dennis worked for Ford Motor Co. as an assembler for 17 years retiring in 2009. Prior to that he worked for Conrail for 17 years. He is survived by his brother Robert Minnich of Lorain; niece Mandy Lopez of Avon and her children Lena, Adrian, and Alicia; uncle Andrew (Marlene) Holko; cousin Sharon Pintur of Lorain and her daughter Danielle Pintur; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Maryann (Holko) Minnich, sister Jackie Minnich, and grandparents Frank and Alice Minnich. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dombrowski- Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St Mary Catholic Church 309 8th. St., Lorain, OH. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where military honors will be conducted. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Marine Corp. League P.O.
