Dennis M. Myers, 98 years of age passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 peacefully with his daughters Dana Warren and Dawn Lukegord by his side. He was born September 1, 1927 in Lorain, OH. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the AirCraft Carrier the USS Philppines Sea. Following his military service, he was a painting contractor for 23 years in Lorain. He was employed at Ford Motor Company and US Steel, along with Lorain National Bank for 18 years until his retirement.
He was a member of the Episcopal Church, a member of the Vermilion Ely Lodge #424 Masons and the Elks Lodge #1301 all of Lorain, for over 60 years.
Dennis lived a full life, he enjoyed the outdoors; gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, flying and traveling. He lived in Colorado for approximately 7 years, where he found it most beautiful.
He enjoyed his hunting friends in Virginia in the Shenandoah Mountains at the hunting lodge.
He is survived by his daughters; Dawn (Phil) Lukegord and Dana (Fred) Warren; grandchildren, Brian (J) Lukegord, Michael (Christie) Lukegord, Daniel (Krisitina) Lukegord, Kris (Jamie) Warren, Sarah (Cort) Mohler, Trisha Cypher and Brandy (Brent) Marriott; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Britain, Brendan, Beckham, Ryan, Noelle, Emily, Jake, Olivia, Sophia, Claire, Autumn, Eric, Paige, Forrest, Kai, Deliah, Annabelle, Grant and Magnolia.
Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores "Dory" Myers (nee Smith); daughters, Denise Yahnke, Deborah (Steve) Myers; grandson, Dennis Yahnke; parents, Dennis M Myers Sr. and Mae (nee Gower) Myers; step brothers, Charles Myers, Warren Manual, Edwin Myers ; sister, Shirley (James) Smith, his companion, Phyllis Edgar of Wooster and his greatest joy was his beloved dog of 14 years "Dukie".
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 11 until the time of service at 12 Noon at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Burial will follow at Birmingham Cemetery where military honors will be held.
