Dennis G. Obermiller, 65, of Vermilion, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born June 25, 1950 in Cleveland, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 17 years moving from Avon Lake. Dennis worked as a Core Fitter for Ford Motor Co., Book Park for 23 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion and the UAW Local #1250. He enjoyed being in the outdoors camping, fishing, and gardening. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara (nee Schubert) Obermiller of Vermilion; son, Kurt Obermiller of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Amanda Csizmadia of Lorain and Bonnie (Anthony) Nickum of Quantico, VA; grandchildren: Gavin and Madison Csizmadia, Riley Martin, Jeremiah Nickum, and Jordan Nickum; brothers: Melvin Obermiller of FL, twin brother, David Obermiller of Nova, Kenneth Obermiller of MO, and Gary Obermiller of FL; sisters, Sherrel Clark of Brunswick and Joyce O'Brien of LA. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Carol (nee Steele) Obermiller and his grandson, Justin Nickum.
