Dolores L. Boshell (nee Sestok), 84, of Vermilion, died Monday, June 6, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Dolores was born March 12, 1932 in Detroit, MI, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 15 years moving from Maumee. Dolores worked as a bank teller for Co-America, Detroit, MI. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, art work, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Frances (Michael) Geffert of Dumfries, VA, Mary Veronica (Norman) Harwood of Vermilion, and Bernadette Therese (Robert) Prothero of Maumee; sons, Philip Abraham Makdisi of Houston, TX and Christopher Joseph (Kelly) Makdisi of Romeo, MI, 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Makdisi in 1968; second husband, Kenneth Boshell; son, Michael Anthony Makdisi; parents, Vincent William and Ann Francis (nee Jagmin) Sestok; and brothers, Vincent William, Jerome, and John Sestok; and grandson, Joseph Robert Prothero. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH. Reverend Ronald Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
